The Quy Nhon Conference is the 15th International Conference organized by the IWA Specialist Group on Watershed and River Basin Management, the most numerous in the IWA Association. The Conference is organized every 3 years in a different location: the past editions were held in National Kruger Park (South Africa) in 2017, San Francisco (USA) in 2014, Recife (Brazil) in 2011 and Budapest (Hungary) in 2008.
The Conferences see the regular participation of about two hundred water resources specialists in the professional, academics and governmental domains for a fruitful exchange of experiences and state-of-the-art knowledge. The participation of Young Water Professionals (especially MSc and PhD students) is strongly encouraged. A dedicated session with awards for the Best student’s papers and posters will be arranged.
The general theme of the 2020 Conference is centered on Imagining a new holistic Watershed Management approach, that is summarized in the phrase “Planning Watersheds of the Future”.
Abstract submission under any of the conference sub-themes is encouraged, either for Platform of Poster presentation. Submitted abstracts will be selected by the Scientific Committee for acceptance. All submission, whether Platform or Poster, will be further evaluated during the conference and considered for direct submission to one appropriate journal of the IWA Publishing group (Water Practice and Technology, Water Science & Technology, Water Supply) after the conference.
