3rd PRINCIPLE

WATER MUST BE ASSURED IN QUALITY AND QUANTITY BY SHARED MANAGEMENT

In a small, medium or large river basin, it is very important to build a Basin Plan that is compatible with the vocation, uses and availability of water resources.

Only by integrating all segments and actors within the basin can we have a Basin Plan that will ensure sufficient water quality and quantity to serve everyone from today to the future.

This sharing in management becomes even more essential when there is a need for climate change adaptation measures underway in our time that affect especially the water security aspects for all inhabitants of the region.

For such, the citizen must be involved with the issues related to water resources in his municipality, in his region, in his river basin, always in order to participate and contribute in some way to an effective management that is participatory and shared.
