COUNTRIES MUST STRENGTHEN AND ENSURE EFFECTIVE PARTICIPATION AND SOCIAL CONTROL IN WATER MANAGEMENT BY DEVELOPING MECHANISMS, PROCEDURES AND POLICIES INCLUDING TRADITIONAL COMMUNITIES

We are approximately 8 billion people on this planet, distributed in different regions.

Regardless of whether we live in a region with water or with a process of scarcity of this liquid, the effective participation of society in water management processes is essential, either to collaborate in control and fiscalization, or to interact with preservation measures.

To this end, society should foster the creation of mechanisms, procedures and policies capable of ensuring the availability and quality of water resources in order to maintain life and development in the watershed territory, in particular by strengthening the inclusion of traditional communities living in the region, dignifying the resident citizen and holder of the water culture.
