9th PRINCIPLE

WATER CULTURE MUST BE PRESERVED BY EVERYONE AND MUST HARMONIZE WITH THE ECONOMY FROM DIFFERENT SOCIOENVIRONMENTAL CONTEXTS

The belief that water is abundant is mistaken, this is clear nowadays.

However, in a paradox, humans, in their available water for use, waste about 40% of this liquid irresponsibly. In parallel, still degrades and pollutes sacred sources within nature, either in a direct way with garbage and sewage, or indirectly, destroying its springs.

Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the relationship between man and water, that is to say, the relationship that man maintains with his water sources, stimulating from children to the elderly, the culture of water, its meaning and its intrinsic interface with life.

The citizens have a big role in this work. They, the living beings, must stimulate and preserve the water culture in their locality and harmonize its use with the development and the regional economy in different contexts and socioenvironmental scenarios, thus producing a perpetuation of the feeling of connection with nature and especially with water.
